Anna, Exodus Winter Activities ExpertRafting on the Nile, diving in Costa Rica, tracking mountain gorillas in Rwanda, and hiking glaciers in New Zealand are just a handful of the experiences I've had whilst travelling. There is so much out there! Not only is adventure travel exciting, but also educational. The wealth of incredibly diverse cultures, the variety of people and personalities, and the chance to sample new flavours are what attract me the most. My years travelling and working abroad are some of the best I've had, and sharing those experiences and my enthusiasm for a place and its people is the reason I joined the team at Exodus. Although I'd spent 4 years working in the French alps, I had never taken the time to try cross-country or skate style skiing. Exodus broadened their ski programme over the 2007/8 winter season to include a lot of new itineraries, and many of them cross-country. I travelled out to the Italian Dolomites to experience expert tuition and hosting firsthand... and what an experience!

Katja, Exodus Winter Activities ExpertGrowing up in East Germany I've always appreciated to being able to travel. Once out there you have such extraordinary experiences which you get to keep for lifetime! Adventure has got many faces, for me it started from learning how to dive to speaking foreign languages, getting to know local communities and their customs. After living and working in Australia, Ecuador and of course, Germany there is no doubt I am injected with the travel bug!
Driving for days through red sand in Australia, fighting for a hammock space on a boat up the Rio Napo in South America, watching the sun rise over the still active volcano Mt. Bromo on East Java, venturing through wildlife and nature observing Orang-utans in Borneo, grizzlies in the Canadian Rockies, giant turtles and blue-footed boobies on the Galapagos Islands are a few examples of how fortunate I've been. Since I started working for Exodus nearly 3 years ago the Winter programme has grown hugely and now includes a much wider range of cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing and really fun multi activity itineraries. Slovakia is where I stood on my skies for the first time and I can't wait for the next season! I'd love to try dogsledding one day and what are your plans?

Trish, Exodus Winter Activities ExpertTravelling and the world around us has always interested me and growing up in South Africa only reaffirmed my desire to see as much of the world and experience as many cultures as possible. I have been fortunate enough to travel to many destinations including Europe, North America and parts of Africa like Ethiopia, Egypt and Djibouti.
Earlier this year I had my first taste of the Winter Exodus program by travelling to the Italian Dolomites and learning to skate style ski. It was quite a unique experience and left me wanting to try more. I then travelled with Exodus on the Hovda Mixed Activity week in Norway which was amazing. Being in Norway on a mixed activity trip which had a good balance of snow shoeing and cross-country skiing really opened my eyes to how much fun you can have on the white stuff. To top it all off I had an afternoon of dog sledding which I will never forget!
