GR10 Summer Season Camp Assistant
Season dates: : July, August and September 2009- Offer now closed
Exodus run small group activity holidays, and specialise in walking and trekking. We require a new member of staff to work as a Camp Assistant on our GR10 walking tour, based in the French Pyrenees for the summer 2009 season. All board and lodging is covered and you will be living on site - this role is camping based. There are opportunities to take part in various exciting mountain sports whilst based in the area.
The Camp Assistant's role is varied and can be quite demanding. You will be assisting the Tour Leader to run the trip. Your main role is to organise and run the mobile campsites that the clients use as their base for the trip. Each day after breakfast you will need to help the Tour Leader pack away the campsite (clients take down their own tents). You then drive our van to the next site, set up the campsite (including our portable kitchen and mess tents), do the shopping and start preparing the dinner for that night.
The Tour Leader walks with the group every day, but on their return in the evening, will help you with dinner preparation. You will be responsible for providing our customers with breakfast and dinner, running the campsite efficiently and safely, doing daily shopping and assisting the Tour Leader to run the trip safely.
* A valid EU work permit
