Learn to cook on holiday? Well, it takes all sorts. But on our holidays we don't just spend our time in the kitchen. We will make sure we get the chance sample as many of the local delicacies as possible, as well as visiting the major sites. Spend a week with 'Mama' in Italy, and although there is no formal teaching, you can't fail to fall for our host; she is always happy to pass on all the secrets of her kitchen.
On the Picos Peaks & Gorges holiday, our special cookery weeks combine the wonderful variety of walks in the Picos de Europa with a number of daily cooking lessons of the local specialities. This will be an optional 2-hour lesson preparing some of the most popular soups at the hotel including the famous Fabada Asturiana. Please see the trip notes for more detailed information.
On our selected departures (2nd and 9th July) of Historic Andalucia you will benefit from a free cooking demonstration. Learn to make Gazpacho soup, Sangria and a giant Paella on the poolside terrace and enjoy eating the end result. We're also throwing in a fabulous Cortijo Cookbook so that you can take all the wonderful recipes of your week home with you.
