Guatemala Walking & Trekking Holidays

Sitting on the eastern rim of the Pacific 'Ring of Fire', Guatemala has had more than its fair share of volcanic activity which has left behind incredible mountainous terrain. The volcanic peaks, stunning scenery and thriving Mayan culture all combine to make a trekking holiday in Guatemala a unique experience.
The colonial city of Antigua Guatemala and Lake Atitlan in the Guatemalan highlands are surrounded by volcanoes and by villages where Mayan culture is still prevalent. Many of the people who live here wear colourful traditional dress and mix Spanish Catholicism with pre-conquest religious practices.
On our walking holidays in Guatemala, as well as ascending some of the most accessible and attractive peaks in the region, we will pass through traditional communities to catch a glimpse of a lifestyle which has remained relatively unchanged for the last 500 years.
