Tibet Walking & Trekking Holidays
Although we think of the highest mountains in the world being in Nepal, the border with Tibet runs through the summit of many of them. It’s well known amongst serious trekkers that the best views of Everest are from the north, and an even more tempting prospect is climbing from this side – indeed this was the route taken by all the early Everest expeditions in the 1920s and 1930s. Trekking in Tibet is wild, high and rugged, but we can honestly say that the mountain views are the best in the world. Probably the ultimate trek in Tibet is our expedition to the north col of Everest in 2013, a special trip to mark the 50th anniversary of the first successful Everest climb in 1953. This tough trek aims to reach over 7000m and will definitely appeal to the experienced trekker.
