Cross-country skiing is one of the healthiest forms of exercise, with aerobic benefits to both the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. You don’t need to be faintly bionic to enjoy it so why not have a taste? If you’re still worried about trying skiing for a full week and don’t want the pressure of keeping up with a group, then enjoy instead skiing at your own pace with as many or as few extra snow-based activities as you like.
Thanks to our recent partnership with Headwater, Exodus now offers Cross-Country Skiing trips that include ski lessons to get you started (and help you stay on your feet) along with plenty of free time to relax those muscles and sample other activities. They are perfect if this is your first time in the tracks and want to gradually build confidence.
Based in some of the best cross-country skiing resorts in Switzerland, Italy and Finland, we stay in comfortable 3 or 4 star hotels with ski lessons and equipment hire included. Ski lessons are arranged by a local ski school and may be mixed with non-Exodus/Headwater clients. Each centre also has a variety of optional activities available including downhill skiing, snowshoeing, winter walking, tobogganing, ski touring and even dogsledding.

An information pack is sent out before departure, which includes details about the food of the area, ideas for extra activities and some handy ski exercises.
