Air Namibia is the only airline to offer a non-stop, direct service between London and Windhoek. Twice weekly flights from London Gatwick on its modern fleet of Airbus A340-300 aircraft are offered in a two class (economy and business) configuration.
Air Namibia also operates regionally within Africa, with onward connections to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Luanda (Angola), Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) and Maun (Botswana) from Windhoek. Domestically within Namibia, Air Namibia operates flights to Ondangwa, Katima Mulilo, Walvis Bay, Oranjemund and Luderitz, from Windhoek.
The airline's 42-seater business class service boasts a 60-inch seat pitch, and 27.7 inch seat width, while economy offers a comfortable 31-32 inch seat pitch and 23.5 inch seat width.
Air Namibia was established in 1946 and the government acquired majority shareholdings in 1982 making it the national airline in 1987.
In July 2005 the airline began its direct service between London Gatwick and Windhoek, Namibia.
