Family Adventures - Active Family Holidays
The fun begins here

At Exodus we have over 35 years worth of experience in creating and operating the very best of adventurous travel. During that time we learnt quickly that a holiday, like many things in life, is a finely balanced recipe of ingredients that need to be carefully mixed and finely blended to make a special trip that not only makes a difference to the locations and people it visits, but also to those who travel on it.
In the last few years this recipe has evolved to include a special ingredient required for a Family Adventure, a child’s perspective. Their intrigue and energy, desire to learn and sense of humour, although akin to that of the hundreds of thousands of adults who have travelled with Exodus, is slightly different. Our tours are therefore not simple duplications of our adult itineraries, but are lovingly tailored to our Family clients, so that the whole family can thrive on the new experiences that travel and exploration brings.
Have we succeeded? I hope you give us the opportunity to prove that we have.

Managing Director - Exodus Travels Ltd.
What the experts say...
'The beauty of these trips is that everything is taken care of, from day-to-day activities to the practical logistics of travelling in remote places with children. Best of all, by joining other families on holiday, you can relax in the knowledge that no one is going to give you the 'raised eyebrow' treatment if your brood occasionally plays up. During a recent trekking adventure, travelling in a small group with other families provided an added incentive to our own children. They quickly elevated older kids to hero status and were happy to scurry along beside them for much of the time. I seriously doubt whether my wife and I would have been as successful in cajoling them to walk for several hours each day! As a group the children also invented games and other ways of entertaining themselves along the way - from playing I-spy to carving walking sticks.'
Will's top 7 reasons for booking a small group family adventure:
1. You're with like-minded families who share similar interests in travel.
2. Children have instant holiday pals.
3. Trips have a good balance of activities and time out.
4. Everything is organised for you, from transport to activities - and you know it's all going to be child-friendly.
5. You can explore countries that you wouldn't consider visiting independently.
6. Children in a group are more likely to feel motivated to try adventurous things.
7. There are trips to suit all ages, from tots to teenagers.
