Winter Activity Holidays

'Crunching through deep snowy powder fi elds set against crisp blue skies, for me nothing rivals the mountains in winter. This passion has shaped my career, spending several winters in the Alps and working within the UK ski industry. 2011 saw me tackle my fi rst cross-country ski marathon and my love of winter sports grow. I hope you will enjoy our latest range of activities and will join us in doing something different this winter.'
Chloe Knott, Winter Activities Programme Manager
What the experts say about our Winter Activity Holidays...
"How about trying something different this winter? There are many ways to enjoy the magic of winter other than being tied to a crowded ski resort. Dogsledding or snowmobiling, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing - there is plenty of choice! If you are really up for a challenge then try your hand at some ice climbing or even a ski marathon. If it involves ice, snow and adventure, I have tried it all and now with Exodus you can too.”'
Graham Bell, presenter of BBC TV's ‘Ski Sunday' and ‘High Altitude’
Our selection on the snow
Why not try a fresh winter activity this year? Most require no prior experience, are great fun and based in crowd-free resorts.
You can choose from four different winter holiday categories.
MIXED ACTIVITY WEEKS
Try out a different sport each and every day. Don’t worry if you’re new to them, this is part of the fun and full instruction is given. Sample gentle pursuits like snowshoeing and ice fishing or the sheer adrenaline rush of snowmobiling or driving your own husky team.
DOGSLEDDING
Experience the magical feeling of ‘mushing’ your own team of Alaskan or Siberian huskies across a blanket of fresh snow, past snow-covered trees and frozen lakes. Huskies love humans and love to run, and on longer trips, you really bond with the dogs and become a genuine team.
SNOWSHOEING & WINTER WALKING
This is a brilliantly simple way to discover a winter wonderland, whatever level of challenge you’re after. Far less technical than skiing, you will master it in minutes and then the opportunity for winter exploration is endless. We provide the snowshoes and walking poles.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Find out why this is one of the most popular of all winter sports. Using longer, thinner and lighter skis than downhill, you will wind between snowdusted pines on one of our popular beginners, intermediate or advanced courses.
