Landscape and Wildlife Photography Workshops

Exodus is pleased to announce a series of new landscape and wildlife photography workshops, instructed by photographer and tutor Dave Stevenson.

Dave is a British photographer whose wildlife and travel images have been published all over the world, and in British titles including the Guardian, Lonely Planet Traveller Magazine, the Daily Mail and the Telegraph. His work takes in everything from big cats to huge primates, small lizards and everything in between. He’s generally at his happiest when he’s somewhere too hot, too early in the morning, waiting for the perfect moment.

Whether you want to learn how to take better photographs or simply have an improved understanding of your camera , these workshops are a must for all amateur photographers. Combining classroom learning with hands-on tuition, we visit three of the RSPB’s most spectacular reserves in the South East:

Pulborough Brooks, Sussex – rivers, downlands and woodlands!

Trip code: ZPB

Pulborough is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) featuring woodlands, wetlands and historic heath land. The reserve is located within the South Downs National Park, offering far-reaching views over the Arun Valley. This is great place to visit in Spring, Summer or Autumn.

Rainham Marshes, Essex – an urban oasis!

Where industry, history and biodiversity meet – Rainham Marshes is a former WW2 rifle range (still intact) and now a refuge for wildlife on London’s doorstep. More than 270 species of bird have been recorded on the site as well as 31 species of butterfly, 29 species of dragonfly, many other insects and a resident population of water voles.

What are the start times?  
The group meets at 9:30am

Where do the group meet? 
At the reception at Dungeness, the Cafes at Rainham and Pulborough. There is free parking at all three reserves

What time will it end? 
Around 17:00 to 17:30
Are food/drinks provided?
There are cafes at Rainham and Pulborough, but Dungeness only has a vending machine for drinks/snacks. We suggest bringing packed lunches and drinks.

What is included in the cost? 
Tuition from expert photographer Dave Stephenson

What are the minimum camera requirements? 
Any camera will do!

Do these trips count towards the Exodus Adventure Club loyalty scheme?
Unfortunately they don't count but they are still great value!
