10/11/12 Lukla to Kathmandu Just the leap of faith of the take off from Lukla to go, and have a real sense of achievement at what we have done. Whoever you are that reads this you HAVE to do this. It really is a once in a lifetime experience. Hard to put into words but if you could take your best day in Scotland/Snowdonia/the Lake District and the alps, roll them all together and multiply by 5, then repeat this for 12 days and you will be getting close. 09/11/12 - Phakding to Lukla Not a long journey to finish off with but we were taken the scenic route normally only used by locals. Hate to keep banging on about these suspension bridges but these were special. Not particularly high but held together with the Nepalese equivalent of metal coat hangers and duct tape! A jaunty angle is something you normally associate hats and not to suspension bridges but by now we are getting smug about this. Only 3 of us were allowed to cross at one time which ...
