Finnish Winter Adventure. Any families travelling to Finland?

Hi there. We are travelling to Finland to Basecamp Oulanka in April and would like to hear from any other families going on this trip. We are very excited!  ...

Northern Lights in Kauppinen - Sweden

The best Northern lights so far this year where on the 30.11 between 17.00 p.m. and 17.30 p.m. as we were standing on a frozen lake with all the dogs.  On the 03.12 our camp Väkkärä also witnessed some incredible activity around 18.00 p.m. for about 15 minutes and afterwards it started snowing! 30/11/11. Dance! Blazing Northern Lights from CME that hit 22:45

Coronal Mass Ejection hit Earth at 22:45 and the auroras were so bright! Field next to my house was all green! But the evening for me started at six a clock. Four hours in Särkitunturi mountain waiting for the auroras. Around midnight (Finnish time +2) I was cold and bored when nothing came. I dropped of the snowmobile and went home. After 15 min sodankylä magnetogramm started going crazy! Result of ...
