So, typically, the British weather has conspired against me for the last couple of weeks. Solid rain for days has interrupted the cycling a bit and I've had to revert to the trusty scooter and waterproofs to avoid turning up a soggy mess in the office. Still, the escalator training is helping a bit, and a rare patch of sunshine persuaded me back into the saddle today, only to get a puncture 15 mins in. At least repairing flats isn't something I'll need to do in Peru!

On the plus...

It’s just under a month till my boots are packed and I’m on the plane to Cuzco to start the trek, and my mind has turned to getting in a bit of training before I leave. I had planned to do some long walks in the Lakes over Easter, but low cloud, heavy rain, visits from family and a sick girlfriend conspired against me, so most of my preparation is going to have to take place within the confines of the M25.
