Last night truly was one of the best ones this winter! Muonioriver is partly in ice, but the reflections are unbelievable. Northern lights started at 20:00 with only faint colours. But small auroras wont cover the stars and exposures are really balanced. Anyways I went inside for an hour. 21:30 Still faint auroras, but on more stripe straight on top! 30/11/11. Dance! Blazing Northern Lights from CME that hit 22:45

Coronal Mass Ejection hit Earth at 22:45 and the auroras were so bright! Field next to my house was all green! But the evening for me started at six a clock. Four hours in Särkitunturi mountain waiting for the auroras. Around midnight (Finnish time +2) I was cold and bored when nothing came. I dropped of the snowmobile and went home.
