Last weekend we had a great three days with colleagues from Exodus. I tuned up their cross-country classic and skate skills (good luck Chloe with the Engadine marathon in March).... obviously the group was the best ever! Conditions were great. On the third day we snowshoed. Tomorrow it's off to the airport to pick up the first group: Mont Blanc winter highlights. Just a quick message about the Winter Toubkal trip leaving this weekend. I'm flying from Edinburgh to Marrakesh on Saturday and wondered if anyone else was also arriving a day early and would like to meet up - share a taxi, explore Marrakesh....have a good dinner in preparation for the walking?! Essentially “cross-country classic” is a walking action with active use of the sticks which develops into a dynamic gliding action with training and practise. The skis remain parallel and in the track’s groves. The winter brochure features cross-country skiing which is Nordic skiing.
So Exodus guests frequently ask what the is difference between Nordic and
cross-country skiing.   Basically there are several types of of cross-country
skiing and these in turn are types of Nordic skiing which includes ski touring,
