Day 3 - Temple Time...

Being honest, not much sleep was had on the train.  I think this was due to the fairly violent jolts that occurred a few times throughout the night.  However, the lady in the cabin next to me said she slept like a baby, so I guess it depends on the individual as to how tired you’re going to feel later.  Personally I may nickname the train ‘The Sleepy Train’ as it has made me exactly that!

Day 2 - Setting the Scene...

Ready to meet our tour guide who would take us on our exploration of Egypt, we needed to be packed, fed and checked out by 10am.Breakfast in the hotel was a buffet, with the usual culprits: cooked breakfast, pastries, breads, cereals, fruits with juice and coffees a plenty - definitely a good way to start our first day.

First Impressions...

Well we’ve arrived safe and sound at our hotel in Cairo, and so far I would say I’m quite happy.

It’s now 9pm in Egypt, and most of us are quite tired from the travelling.  I was delightfully surprised with the flight though.  We flew with BMI (British Midland International), and the plane itself was of a much higher standard than I thought it would be.  With more space than most short haul airlines I’ve been on, and comfortable leather chairs with adjustable headrests, I was...

Hi all,

I'm planing my first solo holiday this year in october(13-20).  The 'Highlights of Egypt(AEQ)' trip.
