Well,

I booked very late to Kili to take advantage of a work sebatical.

It has been quite surprising at just how much preparation and cost have been involved:

 

Medical

Well, as we know, a whole host of injections are needed as well as the usual tablets for malaria. Feel like a pincushion lol and had to apy for the privelige!!!!

Kit

Spent several hundreds of pounds on decent sleeping bag, day sack, boots, socks, tops, thermals, gloves, hats etc....

Even though i have seven months until my kili adventure I am so excited. Can't wait. Looking for the best sleeping bag for the trip is taking a lot of time at the moment, is the only equipment i don't have. Also working hard to get my fitness levels the best they have ever been, hopefully in seven months i should be at my physical peak! ...
