That's it i have no excuses left....Christmas is out of the way and i've eaten my own body weight in turkey and chocolate. So time for a new challenge. I am going to be climbing Kilimanjaro in February - eek! I've downloaded the fitness guide http://www.exodus.co.uk/activities-experiences/walking-trekking/trekking-fitness-guide so now it is time to start excercising - help!

Do any of you live in the London area? Would you like to join up for some training walks - I go from Euston-Tring and onto the Ridgeway Path for various 4-5 hour circular walks and a pub lunch in Aldbury at the end! Happy Christmas. Felicity Hoare

It's Lofoten you see lights as good as this!

This incredible picture, photographed by Exodus' Paul Goldstein, was taken last week and shows the absolute raw beauty of the Northern Lights. The locals have been reported saying that they haven't seen lights quite like this for as long as they can remember. All the more reason to get the camera kit together, pack the bags and head up to Norway this winter. This is not an opportunity to be missed......

This winter season has started with a bang at Basecamp Oulanka. These two spectacular images were taken by photographer Jaakko Kaisto on the shores of the Lake Juuma next to Basecamp Oulanka. With zero light pollution at Basecamp Oulanka, there's no better place to see the dancing vivid colours of this natural phenomenon. And if you are lucky enough, they might just show themselves whilst you are sitting in the hot tub. Now wouldn't that be something......
