Sunday 28th August

Start the day with a short walk around the parks surrounding the hotel during the morning. Forget wide angle lens and feel tired, so keep it short. Nap mid morning. Lunch at Mama Clorinda. Prawn ceviche, cheese pasty thing, potato cheese and avocado soup. All nice especially ceviche. Coffee and nice chocolate at the Republica del Cacao, will have to go back. Afternoon at the cultural museum. Lots of pottery, gold and religious artefacts from Ecuador's history. ...

I find it amazing how many people I have come across recently that have either done the trek to base camp or something similar. A few days ago had a great conversation with my mailman about his trek a year and a half ago. I was encouraged by his enthusiasim and appreciated his advice so thought I would share a few of his recomendations (mind you he travelled in November, so would have been colder ).
