Action shots are often the most challenging with wildlife. It appears that this cheetah has just given up on this quest, however the image still screams motion. The quarry is sharp, the predator blurred and the overall interpretation is one of excitement and a near miss.
These photos do not always go to plan, they take patience and field craft; this one has it in abundance. There is also anticipation here. Did it catch this one or get another one? Would the photographer be there for the next hunt? All this in one well shot and lit image; nice work.
