Costings Department - Costing Executive (Europe)-offer closed

 

An excellent opportunity for the right candidate has arisen within the Exodus costings team. Reporting to the Costings Manager, the role entails setting prices for the Exodus brochure portfolio, processing pricing issues arising throughout the year, and analysing pricing trends. The role requires a strong team player, capable of creative problem solving, with a strong commercial focus and sound European geographical knowledge.

Position

As European Costing Executive you will primarily be pricing European Product for the six Exodus brochures, working with Trip Managers to ensure a sound pricing strategy on European Product. Exodus is a package tour operator, and consequently we require a candidate who has a sound understanding of flight product. You will be expected to identify pricing issues, suggesting creative solutions that limit the financial implication of all operational changes. The role includes working with our Operational Finance team on queries relating to payments and leader finances. You will support our Sales and Operations department in providing pricing information for those clients wishing to take alternative ground or flight arrangements.

Qualifications & Skills

The Costings Department is a dynamic work environment and the ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will show evidence of the ability to analyse complicated contracts and notifications, drawing out salient points. They will be numerical, show an excellent attention to detail. The candidate must have either proven commercial experience in pricing, or be able to demonstrate the ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment. It is essential to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel in particular. Experience of a CRS, as well as a good knowledge of airline fares and contracts would be desirable. Ideally the right candidate would have a passion for travel, with a good European Product knowledge.
