Holidays to the Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta in the world - a unique and beautiful wetland wilderness teeming with wildlife. The area is particularly rich in bird life, including several colourful species of kingfisher and ibis. Larger species include hippo, warthog, elephant and the rare red lechwe (a member of the antelope family). The only way to travel through the narrow, reed-lined channels of the Okavango Delta is to be poled along in a mokoro (dugout canoe). Gliding along with just the swish of passing undergrowth and the gentle splash of water to break the silence, is a fantastic holiday experience.
