There are plenty of historical and architectural wonders to behold in Cambodia from Phnom Penh’s Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda to the wonders of the amazing temples at Angkor. Angkor is the world’s largest religious construction in stone and stands testament to the former power of the Khmer empire. The amazing temples and statues are in a constant struggle to fend off encroachment by the surrounding jungle. The Ta Prohom temple exemplifies this with large trees embedding themselves in the stone foundations of the structure. The intricately carved towers and statues of the site provide photographers with endless photo opportunities.
