Adventure Holidays to Lesotho

The tiny mountainous kingdom of Lesotho is completely surrounded by its much larger neighbour – South Africa. Large mountain ranges form a distinct border however, which historically gave the Basotho people a strategic advantage in defending their land. This little-visited nation has the distinction of being one of the few countries in the world which is entirely above 1000metres in elevation, giving rise to its nickname – the kingdom in the sky. Dramatic mountain scenery is visible from just about anywhere.
