Sabratha

Due to the present situation and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) travel advisories, we have cancelled all our holidays to Libya for this season.   

This large site has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982. There is a large forum surrounded by various temples and the Christian basilica of Justinian, which housed a magnificent mosaic (now in the site museum). Best of all is the immense Roman theatre which still retains its three-story architectural backdrop and has been tastefully restored.
