Djenne Adventure Holidays

Djenne is the oldest city in West Africa. The town has a mediaeval feel, its narrow alleyways filled with oxen carts carrying wood and women on their way to draw water from the local well. It is also a major centre of religious learning for Muslims and the whole town revolves around the magnificent mud mosque for which the town is famous. On market day the town is buzzing with chatter and activity.
