In Norway, in the winter the lakes freeze over and the snow covers the meadows and fields, forests and fells - this makes it perfect for cross country skiing especially at the Eastern location of Rondablikk and the secluded Espedalen Valley. Reindeer and Elk roam the varied terrain of rolling moorland and the views of the mountains are spectacular and all are the backdrop for the fantastic trails for snowshoes and skis. In Norway alpine cross country sports are almost a religion, and it is easy to understand why.
