Walking and trekking in the Cordillera Blanca with Exodus Travels, the adventure holiday experts. In northern Peru lies the highest concentration of snow-capped peaks in the whole of the Andes. The Cordillera Blanca, the 'White Range', is the highest equatorial mountain range in the world, its snowy nevados providing fantastic alpine panoramas, including Peru's highest mountain, Huascaran (6798m). The Cordillera Huayhuash lies a little further south and is home to Siula Grande, made famous by Joe Simpson’s book and the film 'Touching the Void'. Trekking here is a new experience because of the closeness of the mountains - you'll need a wide angle lens and not a telephoto for your photographs here!
