Triglav holiday profile; Slovenians are great outdoor people, and love to take to the mountains. Some of the world’s most famous mountaineers and alpinists hail from this area. Situated in Central Europe this small but beautiful country has an amazing diversity of scenery, nowhere more so than in the spectacular Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park. Also found here are the clear waters of lakes Bled and Bohinj. The second major mountain range of Karavanke is also close-by and both regions offer some of the most spectacular walking scenery in all of Europe. The fact that this area is still largely undiscovered is an added reward for the few foreign walkers who trek in the range.
