Welcome to Exodus Family Adventures

The fun begins here...

Will Gray with his family, Kerala, India'Travelling with Exodus on a small-group family adventure made a breeze of our packed itinerary. There’s no way we could have organised an independent holiday in South India with such a rich variety of activities, local interaction and cultural insights.

Hats off to our wonderful guide, Suresh, who not only took care of all the ground logistics, but also enabled us to really get under the skin of the place. It’s the little spontaneous extras – like pulling over onto the side of the road to meet and chat to local farmers or hiring cycle rickshaws for an
impromptu ride through a bustling city – that elevate these holidays from run-of-the-mill tours
to trips of a lifetime.

They’re perfect for first-timers and experienced globetrotters alike. They provide a great opportunity to meet like-minded families (your kids get instant holiday pals) and, what’s more, you know it’s all going to be tried-and-tested child-friendly. So, take your kids travelling!

Children grow up fast and you’ll never find a better, more rewarding opportunity to enrich their lives, minds and souls – or yours – than during a family adventure holiday.'

Will's top 7 reasons for booking a small group family adventure:
1. You're with like-minded families who share similar interests in travel.
2. Children have instant holiday pals.
3. Trips have a good balance of activities and time out.
4. Everything is organised for you, from transport to activities - and you know it's all going to be child-friendly.
5. You can explore countries that you wouldn't consider visiting independently.
6. Children in a group are more likely to feel motivated to try adventurous things.
7. There are trips to suit all ages, from tots to teenagers.

Family Small Groups

Family Small GroupsFun holidays that you and your family can enjoy together. These trips are active, adventurous and provide the perfect blend of exploration and sociability. You’ll travel to your chosen worldwide destination in the company of a few other families. Most family adventures cater for children aged 5 or 6 years and above, travelling with their parent(s) or legal guardian. On certain trips designated teenage departures are offered. Group sizes are small to preserve the integrity of the more remote places we visit. Go on – travel with your tribe!

Teenage Departures

Teenage DeparturesOur Family Group holidays usually cater for children aged 5 or 6 years and above, but many families that travel with us have teenage children. Experience tells us that children tend to prefer mixing with their own age group, especially teenagers. That’s why we’ve designated certain departures on selected trips as particularly recommended for children aged 11 and over. However as teenagers often have younger siblings, we can sometimes offer a little flexibility on this.

Infant Departures & Trips

Infant trip/departures activities iconWhy not take your toddlers on an Exodus Family trip? New for 2011 is our Kid’s Club in the Austrian Tyrol. Based in a 4 star hotel with childcare available for babies of 6 months to kids of 12 years, you will have the freedom to take part in all the planned activities whilst qualified child minders look after the children. Older kids can either join you on the walks or take part in the activities at The Kid’s Club. You can pick and choose what you and the family would like to do. So peace of mind for the parents and total flexibility for everyone! Also look out for the special Infant departure dates on our Morocco Mountains & Coast trip, perfect for you and your young family to experience the spirit and sights of Morocco.

Private Departure (formerly Independent) Family

Independent/Private DeparturesIf you would prefer to travel on one of our Family holidays with just your own family, extended family, a group of friends or on different dates to those shown - we can arrange this on certain trips. Like our Adult Private Departure Trips these holidays are based on one of our standard Family itineraries and are normally available for a minimum of 4 people.

Family Activity Centres

Family Activity CentresIf flexibility tops your list of desires, or some of your children are very young, an activity centre is ideal. Try out a range of exciting, fun and educational pursuits from one base where you can decide how many you do and who in the family each is suitable for. The minimum age on these trips is between 2 and 3 years, although some activities are designed for older children and all have different age and experience requirements.

Single Parent Families

Single parent familiesAll of our trips are suitable for any shape or size of family. However we know that if you're a single parent that the thought of an overseas holiday can be especially daunting. Our Family Adventures are the perfect solution. Combine the fabulous mixture of other children and like-minded adults and you can simply relax and enjoy discovering the world together.

Family Cycling

Family CyclingKids love bikes. It’s one of your proudest moments as a parent when they wobble off on two wheels for the first time. As we all know once they’ve started there’s absolutely no stopping them - in our experience kids delight in our Exodus cycling activities. Cycling is an activity on a number of our family holidays and we have one dedicated independent cycling holiday in the Loire Valley.

Family Walking

Family WalkingDiscover the world on foot with your family. Exodus offer a range of family adventure walking holidays to suit your tribes stamina and ability. Climb the highest sand dunes in Namibia, enjoy relaxing walks in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains (Morocco), explore the Alps in France, trek in the Himalaya in Nepal. Go on - put the gameboys away and hit the trail with your kids.
