The Skiing
Skiing on tracks is fun but maybe you’d really like to get away from it all and make your own tracks through the countryside.  This is the place for endless opportunities to ski off-track as well as along the some 80km of well-groomed trails. The winter wonderland scenery that surrounds Kvitavatn varies from frozen lakes, wooded knolls and sheltered valleys to open moors and dramatic summits above the tree line. Ski hire is conveniently on-site and run by a dedicated team who are on hand to offer any advice you may need during your stay.

The Tuition
If your skiing could do with a tune-up so you can get the most out of your holiday, we are here to help you rediscover your ‘ski legs’ and develop your skills. It does not matter how much or how little skiing you’ve done in the past, we can offer tuition for all abilities. Even if you have never skied before , we’ll soon get you gliding and exploring the frozen wilderness on skis before you know it!

The Scenery
Glide across snowy valleys, wind through gnarled birch woods to frozen lakes and climb above the tree line for spectacular views over southern Norway – you can do all of this and more in Kvitavatn, a ski-in ski-out resort nestled high above the town of Rjukan in Southern Norway. The surrounding country is very varied, uncrowded and offers a real opportunity to experience the wild, remote beauty of Norway.

The Holiday Options
Want to go on holiday with a friend who’s new to skiing but don’t really want to ski at their pace? No problem. Most of our Kvitavatn holidays are multi-grade and run with two leaders, so skiers of different abilities can enjoy a holiday together.  Or if you’d like to try snowshoeing and your friend or partner wants to ski, you can also do this on some departures.  Or maybe you’d prefer to travel with friends and mix cross-country skiing with downhill skiing and snowshoeing? We can also make this happen.
