Chalet Savoy – Comfort in the Alps
When you’ve spent the day out on foot enjoying the beauty of the mountains, there’s nothing better than retreating to somewhere warm and cosy to enjoy some well-deserved rest and relaxation. And that’s exactly what guests who stay at the Chalet Savoy in the Chamonix Valley can expect. Tucked off to the side of a quiet mountain road, Chalet Savoy provides the perfect base from which to enjoy snowshoeing and trekking. With just 8 bedrooms (all en suite), a roaring log fire in the winter, outdoor hot tub and cosy lounge it really feels like a home from home. The chalet is run by Oliver and Elaine Ensor who have both proved a big hit with clients.
On all these holidays, you can relax in the knowledge that once you’ve unpacked, you don’t have to repack again until the end of the trip and that you need only to carry your daily essentials while out in the mountains. And if for any reason you’d like to opt out of one of the walks, you are free to do your own thing.
Some client comments:
“Oliver was brilliant - relaxed, funny but always in control and very knowledgeable. Very good walks and scheduling and very entertaining all round.”
Frankie McAllister, Mont Blanc Highlights
“Chalet Savoy is a very comfortable and welcoming place to return to each day, especially to find one of Elaine's home made cakes waiting for you after each walk and of course there's also the hot tub in the garden.”
Susan Bayliss, Chamonix Snowshoe
“Our group leader, Oliver Ensor, is - well - a bit of a legend really. He has patience and humour and boundless energy. Must be the mountain air and Elaine's cakes. We thought aching muscles would cause us to groan but Oliver's corny jokes just hedged them!”
Natalie Smith, Mont Blanc Winter Activity Week
