Footwear - Merrell Maipo Ultra Light Mens

If you are unsure about going for purpose-made cycling shoes and would like something more versatile, then your priorities should be weight and grip. We think the Merrell Maipo’s are a great option. Water and Carrying

Other Essentials

A good medical kit is obviously essential; take a kit with a good number of bandages and plasters just in case you fall off. A good pair of sunglasses will make all the difference when cycling; the Julbo Explorer Sunglasses include a secure strap so they don’t keep slipping. A head torch can be a great addition to conventional bike lights; the Petzl E Lite has a flashing red light setting, which can be great if going through an urban area.
