OUR EXPERT RECOMMENDS…
Having reached the top of Aconcagua, Mt Kenya and Kilimanjaro, completed the Mont Blanc Circuit and rumbled in the jungles of Borneo, Exodus' trekking aficionado, Alistair Grice knows exactly which trek is a step in the right direction.
Here he gives his summer holiday recommendations…
Annapurna in Luxury - Grade A
If it is your first time in the Himalaya, this is an ideal gentle introduction to trekking in the Annapurna region that will make you want to come back for more.

Walking in Tuscany - Grade B
If you enjoy walking in the Peak District, the Garfagnana region of Tuscany offers equally impressive scenery with the added bonus of fine Italian wines and local culinary delights.
Tour du Mont Blanc - Grade C
This classic circuit around Europe’s highest peak is a personal favourite and is right on our doorstep. You don’t have to endure a dull long haul flight when such a spectacular trek exists just two hours away.
Grand Traverse of the Indian Himalaya - Grade D
An excellent opportunity to trek the alternative Indian Himalaya up to 5,500m. This 23-day expedition takes you to the seldom visited Changtang Plateau – an area as remote and spectacular as it gets in the sub-continent.
Aconcagua Ascent - Grade E
This high altitude expedition to the roof of the Americas is simply the ultimate trekking challenge. It will push you to your limits both mentally and physically but, if the weather allows you to summit successfully, the rewards are huge.
