Help for those in Ladakh and Pakistan

Ladakh flood damageExodus is shocked by the plight of the millions suffering in Pakistan, due to the catastrophic flooding of the Indus river.

While we currently don't operate trips in Pakistan, we send many people to the neighbouring Indian Himalyan region of Ladakh, some areas of which were also severely affected the same very heavy monsoon rains that so devastated Pakistan - unfortunately for Ladakh, 100s of lives were lost, homes destroyed, and villages temporarily cut off from the outside world.

Donate to help the people of Ladakh

While the scale of this disaster is tiny in comparison with Pakistan, to those involved it has been devastating, and Exodus is very keen to assist the Ladakhis in every possible way to help re-build their lives. Our very experienced Himalyan Trek Leader, Valerie Parkinson, is currently in Ladakh and is working with our charity partners, Friends of Conservation to see how we can help.

Exodus already supports a number of small scale projects in Ladakh via our Himalyan Community Support fund, but we have had many requests from people keen to help those affected by the flooding. If you would like to offer your support to those affected by the Ladakh floods you can donate via Friends on Conservation using the following link: Ladakh Appeal. Or contact Friends of Conservation at:
