Just wondering if there is anyone out there who is going on this trip!
I'm a teacher and this is in my Easter hols- really looking forward to it.
Yes I am going on this trip aswell.
Glad that someone else has visited the cafe!
First Exodus trip and first time to Morocco for me and am really looking forward to it too.
My first Exodus trip too. I am on my own so hope lots of friendly people are going!
So looking forward to the desert and seeing somewhere new. Thinking were I want to go next already...!
I am on my own too.
I checked the make up of the group a couple of days ago and I think there are now 7 of us definate and 3 more possibles - so hopefully if its about 10 - odds of finding friendly people will be high! I think people on these trips have similar mindsets...or at least I am hoping..
I looked at some photos - not sure about looking forward to the 2 hours on a camel - they just had a blanket as a seat! Should be great fun though. and worth it for the experience of under the night sky in the desert.
I think this trip may be the first of many - people I speak to who have been on similar trips seem to get hooked!
Hello! I'm on this too. Really looking forward to it. My first Exodus trip and first time going to Morocco too.
Hi - am also travelling on my own - made the decision just over a year ago I'm fed up with lying-on -a-beach holidays so now choose something a little more exciting (even if most of my friends still want the beach option). Glad there are some friendly sounding people going on this trip - hope my being a little older wont spoil the fun!
Are people making their own way to Marrakech or taking the flights provided by Exodus? I decided to take the easier option (I hope!) and took the flights booked by Exodus. WHat about others?
I am on the Exodus arranged ones.
I fly out of Heathrow and back into Gatwick.
Hi Alison, I am on the Exodus flights but fly out and back into Heathrow...
They must be different return flights
Hi Am also on the Exodus flights, flying out of and then back to Heathrow. The flight out is quite late departing 18.10 and arriving in Ouarzazate (how on earth do you pronounce that?) at 22.20.
Am hoping the unrest in North Africa doesn't spread to Morocco in a big way! I know they had a demonstration about a week ago but it seemed quite peaceful.
For some reason when I booked they couldn't get me back on the arranged flight to Heathrow so they offered me a Gatwick return.
I felt I would be a bit more confident finding my way back on my own than getting there so chose the arranged Heathrow departure. Its good that we all seem to be on the same flight out.
Not that long to go now - it seems to be coming around fast.
Do you think trainers will suffice or do I need to go and buy some lighweight walking boots??!
I think they recommend the walking boots because they give support for the instep and support for the ankle. I'm taking walking shoes (which are quite like trainers and they have an instep support) because they are so comfortable. I recommend that if you do buy some walking boots, look for sale items in Millets and wear them a few times before the trip. Not long now!
I'm booked on the trip as well. First exodus & first time in Morocco. Excited!!!!!
I'm taking a swimming costume as well. Just in case I need one for the hamman.
I went for ones with a slight ankle support - having looked at what people had on in their photos.
Also as hopefully first of many trips I paid for a decent pair - Clarks strangely enough had decent ones and really soft. and I think this weekend they have £25 off (unluckily for me!)
I know! Can't help feeling I'll leave something out but it's only a week so sure I can cope.
