Finnish Wilderness Week

Just a quick one.  If you are hesitating about booking this trip...don't (hesitate I mean!).  We had such an amazing time.  The staff are really friendly and very hard working.  The scenery is stunning and I love the fact you can go for a half day walk and not see anyone.  Accomodation is good, although slight quible about hot water, which they say they are trying to fix.  Perfect location.  You are 'isolated', yet only half hour from a ski resort and less than an hour from the airport.  Oh, and I almost forgot - we saw the Northern Lights, twice!  The variety of activities meant there was something for everyone and, as a snowboarder, I even got in day and a half of that (tip for Ruka - it's very cold, so wrap up!).  Highlights were the N Lights and the husky sledding; although I think the half day included trip is enough (no need to take the full day one).  To sum up, a fantastic experience.
