12th November Discover Costa Rica - Reverse Itinerary

Hi Jenny, Yes we are booked on this trip.  I'm not sure if you have made your binocular purchase yet but there is no easy answer to your question.  When I bought mine I just tried loads of different makes and models and went to a local shop at various times so I could try them out when the light was good and also not so good.  Inevitably any purchase willl probably be a compromised between price, weight and size.  So really it will be down to your own personal preference.

 Haven't seen doctor yet, what jabs do we need? also maleria tablets?

Sorry for lateness of reply. Have been to see about jabs etc at doctors. You shouldn't need malaria as we're not going to the area that has it. Have been recommended to get 50% deet repellant as other nasties about like dengue fever! I was told you should get Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid and tetanus, luckily I'm up to date with these so didn't have to get any.

Still haven't decided on binoculars. Not long now!
