Trip - Finnish Wilderness Week, Departure Date - 18th Jan 09
Just wondered what camera would be advised for the Finnish Wilderness Week. I'm about due a new camera but would be gutted to spend a load of money on one that'll freeze up as soon as I get there. cheers

Hi Julie,
It's not necessarily the quality of the camera that makes it less likely to freeze. The best tips i can give you is to try and keep it as warm as possible - putting it under your jacket to use your body heat. This will prevent condensation from occurring. If there is condensation then empty the battery and memory compartments and keep them open until they dry out. Leave you camera inside if there is condensation otherwise it may freeze. And it is always useful to take spare batteries out with you and keep them in a warm place as well.
