X Country ski-ing Dobbiaco -
Trip - CXD - CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: DOBBIACO, Departure Date - Saturday 28th February 2009

 Really looking forward to this holiday, first one with Exodus and first time coss country ski-ing so hope I will get on ok! Daughter just come back from downhill ski-ing and thinks i am mad to do this....

Bit concerned about what kit is needed - is it ski gear - salopettes, jacket, goggles or is it more walking type clothes - or lightweight ski clothes......help!

 

 


we went to Dobbiaco last -
we went to Dobbiaco last year with another company - you'll have a great time. Clothing wise we covered both ends of the spectrum - wife in salopettes and thermal under layers, self in lycra cycling tights plus thermals underneath. the professional all wear lycra - but then are probably burning rather remote calories than we were as second timers. If you get an opportunity go up to Prato Piazza - an elevated plain about 5 miles away.

Thanks for email - getting suitecase out now to start packing! thinki i'll give the lycra a miss and stick to the salopettes and layers on this occasion. Really looking forward to trip.
