Moutn Toubkal Trek
Hello Debra
Considering it snowed again only 10 days ago, it would be essential to take warm trousers and layers for this climb, along with a hat and gloves. A warm outer shell would be ideal for the evenings, as the temperature does drop rapidly.
I would recommend a 3 or 4 season sleeping bag and many also find a silk liner useful, as it can add an extra layer of warmth.
You will also need to bring a small bag for your own things - see below kitbag information copied from trip notes.
If you live outside the UK an Exodus kitbag is not included. We suggest you bring your belongings in a soft holdall measuring approximately 100cm long x 30cm square). It should preferably be old, as your baggage will be transported by mule. On all trips it is possible to leave your city clothes in the hotel storage and take only your walking clothes on the trip. We strongly suggest that you do not leave any valuables in the hotel store as other hotel residents may have access to it.
Please also note that with the recent unexpected snowfall, crampons will also be needed for the day of the climb in case of possible snow patches along the route. www.trekhireuk.com have an office in Marrakech and they deliver the equipment to the airport for you. As May is a busy period, I would strongly recommend you book the crampons as soon as you can.
I sincerely hope you have an enjoyable trip!

Exodus Staff

Trying to figure out what kind of gear I'll need for the trek.
I usually wear layers - quick dry (long and short sleeve) and fleece. Do you think I'll need a warm outer shell? Long underwear/hats/gloves?
Also - what degree of sleeping bag do you think I'll need?
Do they provide bags for our gear or will I need to bring a smaller bag to store my own things?
