Snow goggles for spectacle wearers

Snow goggles for spectacle wearers -
Does anyone have tips for spectacle wearers who also want to wear snow goggles? I was walking in the Mt Cook region over Christmas and the first day my goggles were fine (and much better than wearing prescription sunglasses, but the second day (when it was snowing) the goggles misted up and were useless. Any tips on techniques or recommended makes would be gratefully received.

Try tinted overspecs -

I had this problem when skiing. All the silly tricks like rubbing soap or a cut potato (or a marketed product called "cat crap") over your spectacles just make the spectacles blurry. It was solved for me by tinted overspecs such as you can see illustrated at http://www.brower.co.uk/opticians/overspecs.html for example. They aren't expensive. Just make sure you get a pair with proper UVA and UVB protection.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Snow/Sun Glasses -

I have a pir of Addidas Evil Eye Prescription Snow/Cycle/Sun Glasses. They are great, I wear them most days, you can buy inserts that fit your prescription, all you do is supply your prescription. Alternatively Decathlon sell overglasses which are OK if you are only using them for the odd week.
