Trip - AVG - AMALFI COAST & BAY OF NAPLES, Departure Date - Saturday 12th May 2012

Hi, anyone else out there going to the Amalfi coast on the 12th? This is my first trip away with Exodus and I'm really looking forward to it.

Best wishes,

Mel

Amalfi Coast trip -

Hi Mel

I'm on the trip too, and travelling solo (female!). Where are you coming from? I live in Daventry, England. This is my second Exodus trip--I went with them to Morocco last year and had a great time.

Hi Chrys, I live near -

Hi Chrys, I live near Southampton in Hampshire. I'm going to travel to Gatwick the day before and stay overnight; the flight is quite early! Are you going from Gatwick too, or do you have a local flight? Only 4 weeks to go - seems to have come round very quick!

Hi Mel and Chrys -
I will be joining you both with philip my partner. i did the trip about 10years ago! It was the first trip i did with exodus and am doing it again because Phil wants to go to Pompeii and exodus meets my needs for a hassle free holiday. We will be coming from Ireland on the friday, where we live (used to live in Bath) and staying in Gatwick. Haven't booked the hotel yet but will prob stay in the sofitel but i will book nearer the date - unless someone advises another hotel. Looking forward to meeting you both, and anyone else joining us. All the best

Overnight -

Hi all--I'm also staying overnight at Gatwick. I've booked a place called Ifield Court, one night's stay (single room), parking, plus taxi to/from the airport for £66.50. If anyone else decides to stay there let me know!

Pompeii is on my list!

Hi eveyoneI too am -

Hi eveyone

I too am travelling from Ireland and staying ovrnight at Gatwick Marriott?). This is my first trip with exodus. A bit apprehensive at this stage.

Overnight -

Hi all, I've booked into the Sofitel. Thought I'd treat myself to a few extra minutes in bed on the Saturday morning! I want to do Pompeii too. Just wondering, if Mary reads this, whether or not she can remember if the "Walk of the God" walk really is suitable for trainers. I want to try and avoid having to bring my walking boots!

Having been keeping an eye on the weather forecast - seems to be warming up nicely in Amalfi :0)

Hi! -

Hi everyone

Another one joining you on the trip! I will be travelling down from Chester on the Friday ready for the early flight. This is my second trip with exodus and after having such a fab time on the first trip I’m really looking forward to this one. If anyone wants to say hi at the airport, I will be donning my exodus luggage tag!

Mel, i am useless. I can't remember much about the walk of the gods as it was wet when i was last there. What i do remember was how useful poles (or a pole) were as there is a lot of going down steps, unless they have changed something but the itinerary looks fairly similar. I always bring boots now since i did one of the \B holidays in trainers and regretted it.

Valni - don't be apprehensive. i have done a few exodus trips by myself (and some with friends or phil as a bit of a veteran with them at this stage) and they always work out well as everyone is so nice. i am flying in from Shannon, where will you be travelling from.

getting excited now.

Looking forward to it. -
I'm a 23 year old from Berkshire. I'll be traveling alone on this. Recently had a pretty savage setback in my personal life, and I'm just needing to get away for a while. Really looking forward to this, I love history, and I love countryside. Never done anything like this before, and my physical fitness looks to be tested, but that's good. See you all there, hopefully.

Awesome, just got all my -
Awesome, just got all my confirmation, I'll be there for sure. Because this as an impulsive, last minute thing there have been a couple of issues with my flight. I'll be there when everyone arrives, but I'll be leaving a couple of hours earlier on the Saturday because of that. Still. See you all there!
