Hi! My first time with Exodus and travelling alone, but I've heard good things from friends who have travelled with them before. I will also be travelling up on Friday and staying overnight at Gatwick. Never been to Italy before but very much looking forward to it. A bit apprehensive about all the steps but I've got my poles and am breaking in some new boots!
Glad to hear there is someone else travelling alone - no offence Martin! I have not started to break in my boots but must do so. Could maybe meet up the night before departure. Are you travelling far to Gatwick?
There is another couple going on the 26th - I started chatting to them but had put the wrong departure date on my message which they picked up on and I haven't heard from them again.

After a lot of searching and reviewing I've booked the Holiday Inn Gatwick, they seem to have the best price deal on a lot of sites, although a few of the reviews don't say much for the food! Look forward to meeting you. When I spoke to Exodus last they told me that there are 14 confirmed and 2 reserved places - that is as many as they will take. I'm travelling up from Devon by train on the Friday. Hope that you had a good day.

I am travelling from the opposite end of the country, flying from Edinburgh. That is good to hear that so many people are going on the trip.

There was a string posted about the time of the pickup from the airport on 26th Sept. I've spoken to Steph at Exodus and she assures me the bus will collect us at 1430hrs, not 2300hrs as was suggested.

It's my first trip with Exodus, but I have been on a couple of touring holidays before, and they have been very enjoyable. I am travelling from Gatwick on 25th & staying overnight in Naples, intending to get the bus to Bomerano. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Who else is going to be brave and put a photo in so we know who we're looking for in the airport ?
I see from the trip going out next week they're expecting rain. Does anybody know what we can expect at the end of September ? We're thinking that it will be warm but maybe starting to get cool in the evenings, and rain is quite likely.

I have added my photo to my profile, so now you know who to avoid !! As we are travelling at the end of September/early October, I will be packing my cagoule & a couple of warm tops just in case (though I take my cagoule everywhere anyway!). I imagine it will be cooler in the evenings. I wasn't intending to pack my waterproof trousers though...

Have just had a look at the BBC website re the weather forecast for western Europe till Saturday and it doesn't look brilliant but it's only rain! We should be used to that by now. About the numbers going did Rose not say some time ago she had been told there were 14 people going with a further 2 possibles?
Only 4 more days at work then I am off to get ready for the holiday. Looking forward to the holiday and to meeting you all.

Sadly I have had to cancel my holiday, as I broke my wrist a couple of days ago. I was really looking forward to the trip and to meeting you all. I will have to rearrange the holiday for next year. Hope that you all have a great time & I'll try not to think about you walking in the sunshine while I am at work !

I was wondering if you wanted to meet up on Friday evening?
My flight arrives at Gatwick at 8.10 pm so by the time I get through arrivals and get to the hotel it will probably be about 9 o'clock which is probably too late to think about getting anything to eat but we could maybe meet for a drink.

We're booked into the Skylane Hotel for Friday night. If we find it's near to the Holiday Inn, we'll wander over at 9ish, but if not we'll look forward to meeting you in the check-in queue. Weather's rainy in Naples area today and tomorrow but looks much better for Friday onwards - fingers crossed!
