Any one else attempting Everest base camp???
Pedro
We are on this trip and looking forward to it. We did Annapurna Sanctuary 2 years ago and hooked on the Himalayas since. Looks a bit tough but should be worth it.

Good to hear someone elase with us!!! Love Nepal but have nightmares of Cho La pass But will get there! Contemplating some form of support for boots and also questionning sudden rise in daily expenses???

We've been using yaktrax just to get to the bus stop - let alone Cho La pass. I'm sure our tour leader will get us over some way or another. Have you read the Nepal Rough Guide to the pass?
Hope that we have enough money - We were in Kathmandu in June last year and prices seemed about the same as year before.
I'm definately more worried about fitness than money. I'll probably be too out of breath to eat.
Hello Pedro, is that the same Pedro who did the Everest in Luxury trip in November 2007?? If so let me know, I have recently completed this trip.

Appears that there are only five booked on the trek but it is guaranteed to go.
That's good less people for me and Janet to hold up.
I am slightly worried - do other people know something we don't know? Anyway, 6 weeks to go.
We got our bags on Friday (nice bags). Have you any idea how little stuff 12 kilos is after taking into account sleeping bags, treking poles etc. I only have space for 1 T shirt and a pair of socks!!! Will have to be very organised. I'm sure Kathmandu will be lovely and hot - a nice change from our winter weather. We are off this weekend to climb up a big mountain to get a bit of practice in - Weather should be wet and cold, with plenty snow and ice -ah the joys of walking in Scotland.

We have booked on this trip departing March 16th. Our third trip to Nepal and i think the most challenging. last year we trekked to Annapurna base camp fantastic!
Also trekked area in foothills of Everest. Would like to hear of any one else going on these dates.
