Anybody cycling Sri Lanka?? -
Trip - MIR - CYCLE THE BACKROADS OF SRI LANKA, Departure Date - Sunday 16th October 2011
I booked today, with my brother Tom. I'm from near Washington, DC and will meet you in Colombo if I make it through the earthquakes and hurricanes we are having. I biked with Exodus from Bangkok to Saigon last spring--with some help from a bus--and had a great trip. Really looking forward to this one. See you there. Roger Hitchner

Just you and me, bro? -
I like traveling with you, Roger, but hope we will have some diverse companions join us.

9 other cyclists -

I understand from Exodus that a total of 11 travelers are signed up for this trip.

And Me! -

Hi I am on this trip. Haven't got round to putting any info on about me but did the Exodus cycling in South India 3 years ago and it was truly amazing.  Pete is an excellent guide and really looks after his group.  Looking forward to meeting you all.

Sounds like you know that Pete will be our leader.  It is encouraging that you had a positive experience with him since a good leader makes a huge difference.

A little background -- I was a venture capitalist, funding tech companies, but left that behind to be a sloth and a tennis bum.  Live half the year on Cape Cod, in Massachusetts, and half outside of Baltimore, where my business was and where my wife and I raised our two girls, now grown.   My brother, Roger, and I have now biked in China, on an REI tour, and in Southeast Asia on an Exodus tour (MOC).  Enjoyed them both.  Biking makes the local food taste even better.   Once did an India tour, including Kerala, with a bus group (not Exodus) and hated sitting around all the time and staring out of bus windows.  Just not the same sense of touching the landscape.

Bump--Should I pack the Marmite? -

Better late than never! -

Signed on at last, but struggling to upload photo!  Looking forward to meeting you folks.  My wife Anne and I did the Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam trip 3 yrs ago, enjoyed it a lot.

Never too late. -
Wil and Anne--I look forward to meeting you later on this week--early some morning. Tom and I are flying in on the 14th and will spend a night and a half in Negombo before assembling at the airport at 0155. We might be better rested than folks on the flight, but probably won't know what day it is.
