Anybody in the lounge yet? -
Trip - TYC - KILIMANJARO, SERENGETI & ZANZIBAR, Departure Date - Sunday 17th June 2012

Is anybody on this trip hanging around this cafe'?  Would be great to chat before departure.

Ciao for now,

Laura

Hi Laura, I am not actually -

Hi Laura, I am not actually on your trip but we depart on on the same route on the 22nd June and have extended our trip to have 3 days in Zanzibar so we may be able to swap success (or horror) stories on the beach after. How is you training going? Have you done anything like this before?

Hi Jody,My training is not -

Hi Jody,

My training is not going well at the moment, but I don't worry much. I hope my running fitness will help in some way, although planning for some specific training in the next couple of months. As for having done this type of challenge before, well, not as high as Kilimanjaro, but I did complete the Inca Trail and went on hiking holiday up to Mount Toubkal in Morocco. This is the highest though. We shall see! Hopefully see you there! Ciao for now,

Laura

Hi Laura, I have just -

Hi Laura,

I have just realised that you depart for Tanzania on the same day as me: 17th June!  I am also climbing the Rongai route followed by Serengeti but I have not added on the Zanzibar extension.

I wonder if that means that we will be in the same group? with you simply heading on to Zanzibar after the safari ends?

It is great to see people discussing the trips on here as I am really looking forward to this big challenge... not long now!

Hope training is going well!

Amelia

Sometimes groups of -

Sometimes groups of different itineraries do indeed get together for part of the trip and then they separate.  I decided for the big trip (Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar) because considering I am going all the way to Tanzania, well... better to do them all!  Who knows when I will get the chance to go there again! And we live only once also, of course.  Hope to see you there.

Laura
