Hi Ian i am on this trip, but not on the group flight going out same day but in the morning with easy jet from gatwick anyone else doing the same and want to try to meet up in the arrivals hall in marrakech?   

Organised - haven't done anything yet. Although should go and get a bit fitter.

I am on the group flights, ash allowing.

Hello there. Have just booked this trip - will be my first trip with Exodus, so any advice on what to expect gratefully received!

Best advice someone gave me before my first similar trip was after packing - take 1/2 the stuff out! Might be a bit extreme but not far off.

Must admit I am still deciding on exactly how many layers will be needed, seems that there might be considerable temperature fluctuation. The trip notes are usually very helpful.

Someone that's just come back from similar, less moutainous, trip said take lot of cereal or energy bars.

Hey up you lot!

I go the week before you guys and am thinking along the lines of, Base layer (RonHill type), normal walking trousers and waterproof over trousers for the legs summit morning. Gaiters also for the scree!

Base layer tee shirt and a soft shell jacket with extra fleece in the bag for the top half. Gloves and warm hat.

Energy and cereal bars for defo, and i found taking your favorite sweet (non chocolate) when I were up kili invaluable and a great moral up lifter. (mines jelly babies!!)

Thanks for the advice. Yes, am unsure how cold it will be on the top, or at night, so don't want to pack too light and end up cold! Been off in Snowdonia breaking in new boots at the weekend. Looking forward to it!

Hello, I'm on the trip too and like the rest of you still sorting out what to take. I probably should turf out half of what I've already put into my bag like you suggest Ian. Can't wait to get going and meet you all with just over a week to go. I'm on the group flight on the Sunday.
