Anyone else staying near Heathrow on the night before departure?

I live near the airport so am travelling up on the day. That said does anyone fancy meeting up in the terminal before check-in so we can sit together on the plane?

Hi, I'll be travelling down from Leicestershire early on Saturday. What time are you guys planning to get to Heathrow? It'd be great to meet up pre-flight. I'm aiming to get there about 8am at the moment. Sooo excited! The date seems to have crept up out of nowhere! Looking forward to meeting you all. Zan

I was thinking about 2.5 hours before the flight which is 8:20 which balances queuing time with not having an excessive amount of time hanging around the terminal.

Hi all, meeting up at Heathrow -- either before or after check-in -- would be great. As I'll be staying close by I can make any suggested time (within reason of course!), 8:20 as suggested would be fine. Does one of you know Terminal 4 well enough to suggest somewhere to meet -- the queue for check-in may not be specific enough (unless we all wear our helmets)? Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi All, There is a large bar/restaurant called the Bridge Bar that does reasonable breakfast (for an airport.).  I suggest that for those that can fix a time/meet by chance at check in, great, for anyone delayed if we all head for the Bridge Bar, plan to meet up 8:45-9:00am that would probably work?

Happy for any other suggestions (but not wearing my helmet! :) )

Hi, I found a (very slow to load) map on the airport website which shows a Caffe Nero on the pre check-in side next to the entrance to the terminal & opposite WH Smith. I suggest that as the first meeting point at say 8:15 (which gives us the chance to book seats together - if we get on!) with plans B (check-in) & C (Bridge Bar airside) as above. I've got an Exodus tag on my case from a previous holiday if anyone else has one bring it along. Less conspicuous than a helmet how about wearing / carrying our cycle mitts? Of course in an old spy movie one would have a red rose in their lapel and a copy of the Times! Pete

 I like Pete's plan so will either meet you outside the coffee shop or by the Bridge bar depending upon my journey. I have an exodus bag tag so will put that on my hand luggage.

Hi all, excellent, 8:15 outside the coffee shop it is. I'll have an exodus tag on my case too. Am obviously gutted that you turned down the option of wearing your helmets at Heathrow whilst queueing for the flight, but will try to get over the disappointment. Zan, I'm staying at the Radisson Blu at Heathrow-- which includes my parking (got it as a 'mystery hotel' booking which makes it cheapish), will send you my mobile no if you do think you might be in the area Fri evening too. Looking at the airline website it appears you can, but then we will all have random seats? You will also need to print your boarding pass, and I don't have access to a printer now I've finished work (woohoo!). I'm going to stick with checking in on Saturday I think, unless you are all going for the online option. Zan
