Hi
We are three - Patsy and my two teenagers, Jamie, 15, and Catriona, 13. I was in malaysia in March with the british Council and have been there years ago. I really love the idea of going to Borneo. It feels like a real adventure. The kids have not been to anywhere so remote.
Hi Looking forward to meeting you all! - 11th Jul 2010 - 6:17pm
Hi there we are a family of four, parents Gerry and Lee with two daughters Poppy(15) and Holly (11), and are very much looking forward to the trip it sounds like a great blend of adventure and relaxation, just been reading through the packing list and advice this afternoon. We are not too clear on Malaria as the advice is variable but all the previous trip reviews mention the need for insect repellent so I think we will go for the anti malarias. Any thoughts on your side?

We are taking Chloroquine and proguanil from boots.

We have decided to take Malarone tablets as we have been told they give minimal side effects. Also I have been told by my local pharmacist (and read online) that in Borneo there is a resistance to Chloroquine. The Malarone are expensive but my doctor sells them at about 2/3 the price. Are you both going out on the group flight?

Hi! We are a family of three - Chris, Brenda and our 17 year old daughter Chloe. Would love to chat to anyone else going to Borneo on this trip. We are leaving a day early (30th July) as the group flights seats were all taken, so are staying in the joining trip hotel for an extra day.
Not long to go now and getting really excited!
